1.      The first step to creating an eBook is picking a topic. Select one idea and create an outline of your proposed book.

2.      Do research to strengthen your book's points and theme. Also by supporting your points with references or giving varying points of view, you will look more credible.

3.      Write your ebook and sort out topics and format. The most common format for ebooks is a PDF file. There are other software packages with wonderful features that you can purchase to create ebooks.

4.      When you book is complete it is time to figure out how you want to publish it.

5.      Promote it everywhere, the only way to get readers to view your work is to first find them and draw them in. Use things like creating your won website, forums, encourage those who have read the ebook to write reviews, social bookmarking sites, a free email course or free ebook teaser to promote your ebook for sale and links in emails to show your book to everyone on the internet.

How Much Should You Charge for my ebook?
It really depends on the quality of the information you provide. You could have a long or short ebook, but that's not the ultimate decision maker. Have a few friends or colleagues read the ebook. Make sure they are interested in the topic and ask them how much they would pay.

Also, have a look at your competition and see what they are charging. You can purchase a few of those ebooks to see how you compare.

My personal Experience with ebooks

An e-book can be purchased, downloaded and used immediately, whereas when one buys a book one has to go to a bookshop, or wait for a delivery. EBooks therefore empower individuals to write, publish, earn money and in this way help to challenge the bureaucracy of big publishing that excludes so many brilliant authors from the publishing hubs. Once I applied the above principles, I found that all my eBooks are doing great. Not only do I make a profit from eBooks, but I find the whole experience thrilling and pleasurable.
